Tacos are a staple in our home, especially during the work week. We have an incredibly healthy and tasty taco recipe just for you using wholesome and healthy ingredients. ¡Provecho!
Taco Night Recipe: Serves 6-8 tacos
1 lb Natural Ground Chicken (We like Trader Joes)
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion pepper
A pinch of pepper
1/2 white onion diced
1 red bell pepper diced or in strips
1 tsp avocado oil
1 can Trader Joe’s refried black beans with jalapeños (or any kind of beans!)
1 can of corn
1 avocado sliced or made into guac
2 tbsp plain unsweetened yogurt
1 cup Lettuce or any mixture of greens chopped
Siete hot sauce (any kind)
2 tbsp shredded Mexican cheese
Almond Flour Siete tortillas (found at Whole Foods)
1 tsp of grass fed butter or avocado oil
Heat avocado oil in large skillet pan over medium heat.
Add ground chicken to pan and stir up to break up the pieces. Add in all spices and stir well. Stir occasionally as the chicken cooks.
Heat avocado oil in medium skillet pan over medium heat. Add onion and bell peppers, stirring occasionally.
Heat up beans and corn in separate saucepans.
Heat up grass fed butter or avocado oil. Add Siete Tortillas. Cook on both sides for 2-4 minutes.
Add chicken, bell peppers/onions, beans, and corn and top with avocado, yogurt, lettuce, hot sauce, cheese and squeeze a lime over the whole thing. Enjoy!
