Want to spice up your latte? Enter: The Golden Latte. The Golden Latte gets it’s name from the turmeric in it and this latte is extra good for you. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory spice that also helps prevent cancer, heart disease, depression, brain disease, Alzheimer’s, and arthritis. We added MCT oil in ours for even more added benefits: good fats, natural energy, and mental clarity. Pulling inspiration from Martha’s Stewart’s recipe, here’s our take:

Golden Latte: Makes one serving

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond or oat milk

  • 1 tsp ginger, finely chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon MCT oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp coconut sugar

Instructions:

  1. Whisk ingredients all together in a saucepan over medium low heat. Allow to heat up for 5-7 minutes.

  2. Strain over mug to catch the ginger pieces. Top with light cinnamon and turmeric. Sip and enjoy!

*If you don’t have a little strainer (a big strainer will make a mess), you can put the ginger in a loose leaf tea bag/tea holder.
