Blistered Shishitos

You’ve seen them trending on modern Mexican restaurants menus in the appetizer section. And for good reason. Shishito peppers are the perfect amount of spice, tasty and super easy to make. Along with their delicious flavor, shishitos aid in cancer prevention, help manage weight control, boost digestion, and lower risk of heart disease.

Blistered Shishitos: Serves 2-3 people


  • 1 6 oz. bag of shishito peppers

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1-1 1/2 tsp salt

  • Feta, Goat or Cojita Cheese


  1. Heat avocado oil over medium high heat until oil is shimmery in a frying pan. Add the shishitos and sprinkle with salt.

  2. Heat for 10-15 minutes until blistery.

  3. Prepare shishitos in serving bowl and sprinkle with choice of cheese. Share & enjoy!
